Femi Ade is a British Nigerian Christian, technologist, and visionary leader whose life and career reflect a unique intersection of faith, innovation, mentorship, and purpose. Born in Lagos, Nigeria, and currently based in Ipswich, Suffolk, UK, Femi is driven by a passion to see lives transformed, spiritually, professionally, and personally.
Professional Experience
Femi holds a BSc in Physics with Electronics from Crawford University (2011) and a Master’s degree in Telecommunications and Networks from City, University of London (2014). He became a Chartered Engineer in 2022 at Institute of Engineering & Technology-IET UK.
With over a decade of experience across diverse sectors, Femi began his career in the Industrial Power System sector building Industrial Electrical Power systems, such as Industrial Distribution Systems, Change Over Switchboards, Automated Street Lighting Control etc and then progressed to Telecoms industry, where he designed, architected and delivered various program/projects such as:
- BTs Home Hubs Wi-Fi & Broadband Products
- Broadband/Wi-Fi & VOIP (Alexa Enabled Digital Home Phone) for fixed and mobile networks
- Puppet Enterprise PCI-DSS Cloud-based Automation Infrastructure
- Next-Gen OSS/BSS Solutions using NetDevOps technologies.
After 7 years of success in telecoms, Femi transitioned to the Life Sciences/ Pharma/ Healthcare industry, where he currently serves as a Principal Consultant – Multi-Cloud Solutions Architect, providing IT cloud AI solutions to Lab scientists and researchers. His work enables critical innovation in pharma, healthcare and life-saving research.
He brings deep expertise in IT, Cloud, Data, AI Architecture, Software Design & Strategy, DevOps Automation, NetDevOps, IT Security, and Broadband/Wi-Fi solutions serving as a bridge between cutting-edge technology and real-world application.
Faith & Ministry
Beyond his professional work, Femi is a passionate Christian leader and teacher of the Word. Since 2017, he has served faithfully at Hope Church, Ipswich, where he leads a Lifegroup and offers marriage counselling that has produced remarkable testimonies.
Femi’s Lifegroup has been a powerful expression of God’s grace, marked by tangible testimonies of healing and breakthrough, including cases of cancer and brain tumor recovery. His ministry, Life in Abundance, is focused on evangelism, discipleship, and spiritual growth equipping believers to walk in their God-given identity and purpose.
Entrepreneurship & Leadership
Raised by entrepreneurial parents who also served in insurance and academia, Femi developed a keen eye for business and leadership early on. He co-founded Gurugeeks with his dad – Tech Startup with subsidiaries in IT Academy and Power Systems.
Personal Life
Femi is married to his beautiful wife Shayo, and they are blessed with two wonderful children, Stephen and Stephanie. He cherishes family life and believes the home is the first ministry.
